Leon has over 15 years’ experience in corporate and structured finance, with a strong track record in leveraged and venture debt transactions. Most recently, as Director at Virgin Money, he was responsible for delivering complex financings across the country, including the largest venture debt deal completed by the Bank since the function was established nearly 15 years ago. His portfolio includes growth capital for high-growth fintech and healthcare businesses, sponsor-backed acquisitions in technology and manufacturing, and strategic financings for private equity and VC-backed companies.

Prior to his time at Virgin Money, Leon spent over a decade with RBS and NatWest, where he originated and executed leveraged and corporate transactions across the South of England and Wales. Highlights included management buyouts, large-scale refinancings, and acquisition facilities for both private equity-backed and founder-led businesses.

Leon is professionally qualified in banking, credit, accounting, and corporate finance, and is recognised for building long-term client relationships and structuring facilities that enable businesses to achieve their strategic ambitions.

Outside of work, Leon has two young boys and spends his time playing acoustic and electric guitar, in his home gym, playing the occasional squash match, rewatching Christopher Nolan movies and as an amateur coder/developer.
